About this blog

This is a glimpse of what my life is like now
without my precious daughter.

Your comments and questions
are always appreciated
whether you’ve been there or haven’t,
whether you’re a friend, family, or a stranger.

Don’t worry about
what to say
or how to say it.

Don’t let your fear of hurting me
make you silent.

Silence doesn’t help anyone deal with a silent birth.
It makes things harder, not easier.
And nothing anyone has said yet
has made me feel worse.
As long as you’re honest,
you can’t go wrong.

I need to talk about my daughter
and remember her.

This blog helps me do that.

Thanks for reading.

P.S.
Any mention of my pregnancy with
Malou’s
little brothers Liam or Nohi
includes an asterisk * in the title
so you can choose to skip that post
if you are a fellow babyloss mama.

  1. “Silence doesn’t help anyone deal with a silent birth” is one of the most profound things I have read in the last nine months. Thanks for commenting on my blog. I’ll be sure to follow yours now.
My heartfelt sympathy to you over the loss of precious Malou Amelia. What a beautiful name.

  2. dear Malou Amelia’s mommy-

i wanted you to know that i cam across your blog today. i had seen your video of your preciouse daughter about 6 months ago, but today came across your blog thru reading about Ada. your blog was top on her list and i have been wanting to read other peoples feelings about stillborn babies. im not quite sure “wanted” is really the right word… maybe a need. our baby was still born 1.23.08. @ 26 weeks.
i love your words,, and if its ok im going to put you on my favorites. when i read how your friend didnt attend the funeral,, she was pregnant, then she had a funeral.. oh my allready broken heart for you went even sadder.possible?? maybe.
